Here we have the factory dash ashtray removed from a 1951 oldsmobile four door sedan that we are parting. This thing is in great shape for an original. There is very minimal if any pitting and will clean up for even the nicest driver but please remember it is 57 years old and not NOS. If you need 50 or 51 parts be sure and check out my other auctions as we are starting to part a 60 thousand original mile car. I was told these are pretty much the same from 49 to 51 but I am no olds expert so just be aware that these parts are coming off of a 1951.The dash pieces we will be listing are some of the nicest originals I have ever seen.Some of you may have heard of this story or experienced it yourself. This car went to a body shop for a restoration where it was blown apart and the process was started and then the body shop went out of business and a lot of the parts have disappeared so it is more feasible to part it out than it is to put it back together. So stay tuned as we will be listing parts as time allows.
