This is a 1951 Fender Broadcaster. It is featured in Norman's Rare Guitar Books as was the last of his prized Broadcasters. He kept this one until he sold it to me-- it was the best of his best.
There are no issues. Is is all original. It sounds like a 1959 Les Paul burst and a blackguard tele merged. The rythm pickup is strong and warm with lots of soul. The bridge pickup is a screamer. The original frets have an unusual amount of life left. The neck is nice and thick. A hair wider than other blackguard teles. It's the best feeling neck I have ever experienced. It comes with original hardshell case that has a bit of tape on it for reinforcement. Condition is 9/10. It comes with original ashtray bridge cover. My email is ted111@mac.com. For those of you in the "know" this is more rare than a '59 burst and that's where the numbers are going. The weight is 8 pounds (not feather light) but once you hear the sustain and power this guitar puts out, you'll welcome the extra pound. In the photograph, it is the Broadcaster in the middle. I reserve the right to end auction early. Bank wire only. Escrow is fine. The guitar must be picked up in person. 24 hour approval period.
