THE ITEM FOR SALE: 1952 Bowman #121 Al Corwin, graded NM-MT/8 by GAI. Exceptionally nice card from this classic set, with strong color, design and print registration and surface. Centering is close to dead-on, perhaps 55/45 left to right. The card’s back is in great shape, although the top edge has a minute nick in it, along with some product staining down through Al’s name. This card was one of the first I owned that had been graded by GAI; good job! Current SMR for a low number ’52 common in NM-MT condition is $70.
THE NOT-SO-FINE PRINT:
BIDDERS and/or potential buyers are provided with high resolution (600 ppi) scans of both front and back of every card I put up for sale. PLEASE REVIEW both scans BEFORE taking further action; your bid or "Buy It Now" commitment is your acknowledgment of the card’s condition as represented by both its grade and the scans provided. SORRY, I DO NOT ACCEPT RETURNS ON THIRD-PARTY GRADED CARDS!
PAYMENT made by PayPal or personal check is expected within 7 CALENDAR DAYS of purchase. Should payment not be received by the 10th calendar day following your purchase, the item will be re-listed and negative feedback will be left. Winning bidders and "Buy It Now" purchasers paying by PayPal receive immediate attention. Those paying by personal check or PayPal “e-check” are asked to allow five (5) business days for funds to clear.
DOMESTIC SHIPPING: IMPORTANT! Effective 9/22/09, eBay has disallowed optional and/or required shipping insurance, while telling sellers that they are still responsible for the item until the buyer receives it. This essentially makes insurance mandatory. Sellers are told to fold the cost of insurance into S+H; in doing so, sellers are being asked to choose between passing this cost on to buyers (and risk deterring those potential bidders who may not want to pay for the insurance) or to simply absorb these higher costs, thereby reducing their income.
Effective 9/22/09, all purchases and/or winning bids are shipped insured. My shipping rates are listed below. PLEASE REMEMBER THAT I WILL COMBINE LOTS WHENEVER POSSIBLE TO REDUCE YOUR SHIPPING AND INSURANCE COSTS!

CANADIAN bidders and shoppers are always welcome in The Grove, but should understand that shipping north of the U.S. border is typically more costly. In the past, I have offered what PayPal has offered, Priority Mail International, at $11.95 USD. I’m now starting to offer First Class International (2 card maximum) at a flat $5.95 USD. I know the distance from Detroit to Hamilton or London ON, or Buffalo to Toronto isn’t much, but the domestic rates that I’ve quoted above do not apply over the border.
