Large Deer "Bambi" California Art Pottery Planter.

Up for auction is a very cute Large Whitetail Deer "Bambi" California Art Pottery Planter. This little guy is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or crazing. He is dated on his belly "1952" along with a copyright symbol. He is a little larger than most deer planters standing tall at 9.25" x 9" in length. His back legs spread out 6" in width. Someone did use him for a planter, but he is pretty clean inside with very little residue. I have been unable to find his exact maker, but I am reasonably sure he was from a California pottery company. Super cute piece.
