Vintage 1953 New York Epiphone Zephyr archtop guitar. This guitar will be a great project for a luthier or someone with repair skills. Size is 17 3/8” wide body, 41 1/2” total length, just under 1 3/4” width at the nut and 3 1/2” body depth. No hardware or electronic parts with the guitar. The extra holes on the top are original and are from the New York style pickup and volume and tone knobs. The serial number is 66830 which makes it a 1953, see this Epiphone website for details… http://www.provide.net/~cfh/epiphone.html The neck-joint looks good and no damage or old repairs to the neck or fingerboard, but the headstock face veneer could use some repair.. This guitar originally had the metal Epiphone triangle logo on the headstock. The guitar needs binding on both top and back. Also needs some gluing and repair around the bass side f-hole, and the top and back both need to be glued to the sides in places, see photos. Also needs refinishing on the bottom and by the input jack. Sorry no case included with this auction, but a hard case can be purchased, ask for details. Will be double boxed for shipping.
