The 1953 Medio Balboa Coin pictured is the one for sale.  This coin is part of a collection I inherited from my grandfather.  I have tried to present the coin in the pictures as it appears.  The coin is in very good condition.

The front of coin has the bust of Balboa with the morion helmet and the words "Medio Balboa" over the bust and "Cincuentenario" under the bust. The back has the coat of arms of Panama and the date and the words "Republica de Panama".  The diameter is 30.5 mm (1.20 inches) and is made of 0.90 gm of Silver, and 0.10 gm of Copper. The weight of the coin was 12.5 g.  This is the equivalent of 50 ¢ US.  600,000 were produced.
