Parents for Carpenter (PFC) is a non-profit volunteer-based organization formed in 1986 by a group of enthusiastic parents for the sole purpose of raising funds to support Carpenter Avenue School. PFC is dedicated to endowing various programs that have been discontinued or scaled back due to federal, state and local budget problems. The parents of children attending Carpenter observe on a daily basis the needs of the children at school, and have control over how the funds raised by PFC are spent. Although PFC is not directly connected to or bound by the rules of any other organization, PFC works in concert with the PTA, school administration, and the LEARN Council.
