The rarest gretsch without a doubt, ------------A very nice 1957 Vintage Gretsch White Penguin Guitar. --------------- Guitar Appointments (features): Gold Jeweled Penguin Knobs, and yes a fixed arm bigsby --- This first year mid fifties Bigsby Tailpiece is very rare due to the fact that the ARM does Not move (or swing away) ... Its Fixed position.(Vibrato Tailpiece also has a rougher finish from this very early year Bigsby Cast (Aluminium Mold) - Guitar has Gold Penguin /Falcon sparkle binding - The best of all the penguins headstock designs (stacked) - This white well dressed bird is a truloy amazing player, deep rich tone. Neo classic thumbprint inlays on neck--- Growly D'Armond Pickups in Gold - features the classic 50's large Sparkle winged Truss rod cover. This Gretsch Penguin has low action, and is a VERY fast player - Tight Set up ---- locked and loaded for stage, studio work or museum collection -------- Has a great weight being semi hollow ------- Two very small holes professionally repaired exist that are very very hard to see with human eye. in body(back by tailpiece) -- This guitar was over-sprayed with white finish by a professional in the 60s or early 70's - Penguins were known to have their finish wear thin when paint would lighten on upper bout due to arm contact with guitar.(rumored to be due to no primer by some?) -- Finish has faded to a perfect vintage off-white or ivory over the many decades ---Have a few small knicks and old surface scrathes as old guitars do --- This is the most rare Gretsch Guitar ever made, Period! ----------------------------------------------TERMS: selling to US buyer only----- I welcome buyers for any (fly in) inspections (and I will call back serious potential buyers.) .
