Store format auction: Store auctions are set to approval only for bids to prevent the scam artists from being able to end the listing. If you'd like to bid or make an offer, just send me a note and let me know and I can approve you. This has to be done on a listing by listing basis, I've had a few people that was just too complicated for, but if you want to bid on several items you'll need to let me know just which ones. Thanks for your understanding.
Good demoliton derby project here - 1958 Imperial 4dr hardtop. I have removed just about everything worth taking except the grille and the dashboard, and they are not included with this deal. What you get is the complete shell less trunk lid, a 1960 Imperial trunk lid, the remains of the 1960 Imperial for a rearend, torsion bars and tie rods. Hood and doors from 1960 Imperial can also be included. This car has a good frame and it's the same frame as the 1964-68 Imperials use, which are among the best demo cars out there. The floors are not too bad in it, but the right side rocker panel is shot. I don't see much other use for this, it's not worth restoring and most people who want Imperial parts want really nice stuff, not junk. You will probably need to supply a few other pieces as well as the motor of your choice, so it may not be legal to build for some derbies (you'll probably have to weld up the right side doors good). But it will certainly attract a lot of attention and likely be the oldest car on the track when it's run - and better to see it go out with a bang than just go to the shredder.
The reason for needing the '60 parts is when the hemi was taken out, they just torched whatever was in the way, including the torsion bars and steering tie-rod. The car never came with a rearend in it. Since we had the '60 in bad shape, I figured whoever built this could have what they needed. There is a rough rocker panel for the right side from the '60, also. It will need more work to be ready to run than your typical derby car, but should hold up pretty well with those fins in the back plus already being dented in various places that should make it a little harder to fold it up. The A-arms on these can be vulnerable to a front end shot, but that is the only real difference to the later Imperials.
In any case, price is based on the scrap value - an Imperial is around 5000 lbs, so it should bring $250 combined with the pieces of the '60 Imperial at the scrapyard.
Terms: 10% or $500, whichever is greater, deposit up front, not refundable. Sold As-Is, this is an old car and has rust issues, buyers are welcome and invited to inspect cars in person prior to bidding in case there are problems which I am not aware of. 30 days storage is included with the car, more time can be arranged in advance on cars that are paid in full at $50/month. Time is flexible depending on weather concerns. Unresponsive or uncooperative buyers may be assessed $10 per day storage if necessary, but we try not to let things get to that point.
How to pay: Check, cash in person, money order(s).
NOTE: Cashiers checks only accepted for the exact amount of the transaction. They must be able to be verified by the issuing bank before being accepted.

eBay forces me to include this redundant and confusing statement in this listing - their words, not mine: “This vehicle is being sold for parts only and is not operational or street legal. Therefore, upon purchase, it will need to be either towed or trailered. eBay encourages its members to learn about their state laws governing vehicle sales prior to the sale or purchase of a vehicle.”

Bid Pay no longer available. I can't accept Pay-pal on vehicles because there is no shipping; thanks.
