| Just like fine wine, vintage watches have their great years, For Omega, it was the 1950's. These were the years that Omega, in its attempt to capture a share of the high-end wristwatch market, actually created timepieces that surpassed the quality of those produced by Rolex, Jaeger LeCoultre, and other of the great Swiss timepiece makers. |
| First released in 1952, the workmanship of the Constellation was second to none. Housed inside an elegant yet extremely durable waterproof case is found some of the greatest mechanisms created during the 20th century. Engineered to easily achieve chronometer grade timing, a level reached by only a small handful of timepieces ever made, the Constellation's was one finest and most accurate wristwatches a person could buy. |
| We were fortunate to acquire this important timepiece in such fine condition. Worn just occasionally over the past 50 years, the large man's stainless steel and gold case shows only light signs of use. The stunning 100% original gold dial (face) is excellent with slight oxidation visible when observed under magnification. The superb chronometer grade movement is clean and pristine, and keeping excellent time within + / - 2 seconds a day. Upon close inspection we noticed the regulation screw to be broken. This is having no effect on the function of the watch and a factory original replacement is included. |
| We have fully serviced this amazing watch to Omega specifications. The movement has been fully cleaned and lubricated with the finest Swiss oils. All seals have been refreshed to insure complete water resistance. The accuracy has been tested on a state-of-the-art Vibrograf B200 timing machine, resulting in extremely impressive readouts. Fitted with a high quality leather strap and genuine signed Omega buckle, this stunning timepiece is ready for decades of use and enjoyment, and comes with a full one year warrantee on the movement and its function. |

All watches listed as fully serviced carry a one year warrantee (unless otherwise stated in auction text) on the movement and mechanical functions.
