This auction is for a Honer Harmonica instruction booklet entitled "How To Play The Honer Harmonica - New Easy Method For Beginners" published and copyrighted in 1959 by M. Honer, Inc . Andrews Rd, Hicksville, L.I., New York. They are, by their closure statement on the back cover, the "World's Largest Manufacturers Of Harmonicas, Accordians, Organs". In 1959 they were already in business for over 100 years. According to this booklet, "The harmonica was the only instrument played by President Lincoln and it has been held in similar esteem by President Eisenhower, the late Prisident Coolidge, and many other famous men and women of our time." The booklet has a bit of wear ans tear on the right edge from years of Harmonica Training usage. There are 23 pages of songs and informative instruction (including harmonica notation from the famous American painter Thomas Hart Benton, also an avid Harmonica performer on page 5). This booklet has basic introductory information, specific technique and training information, as well as supplementary instructions. The wear does not affect the readability or the 1950's charm of this decorative and informative piece.
