For Auction we have 1 of 3 teak authentic Danish chairs from the 196Os designed by N.O. Møller in 1951 and manufactured by the Danish furniture manufacturer J.L. Møllers A/S . 

This teak chair has beautiful smooth lines and patina of the teak wood.  The woven cord seat and smooth and chunky teak back rest of the chair gives it the signature N.O. Møller look giving it a very modern look.
 
A multipurpose chair suited for any modern vintage interior in any room of the house. In excellent condition this chair would accompany any 20th century interior. A rare opportunity to own a piece of chair design history!
 
About the Designer:
 
N.O Møller completed his apprenticeship as a cabinetmaker in 1939, and continued his education at the design school in Aahus. In 1944 he founded J.L. Møllers A/S and worked as an independent furniture designer and producer. The company has received many awards including the Danish Furniture Makers' awards for:The Furniture Prize for 1974, and The Furniture Prize for 1981

  • Seat height: 440mm
  • Material: Legs frame in solid teak wood. Seating in woven cord and back teak. Teak colour. Seat cover in woven cord. 
  • Condition: Good condition. No breaks to chair frames or back/seat. Some wear and tear at the edges of the bottom legs of the teak frame. Overall minimal aging to this chair however this is consistent to the vintage look of the items.
