This extremely rare 1960's Newport Jazz Festival show poster headlines several of the jazz greats of the time: Louis Armstrong, Count Basie, Duke Ellington, Art Tatum, the Modern Jazz Quartet, Sarah Vaughn, etc.
This vintage cardboard poster also has great graphics. It is in good condition with some defects like creases and stains, but is still highly presentable and would look great framed.
These days, Fillmore-era window cards are getting harder and harder to find, and
George Wein's Newport Festivals were the premier Jazz and Folk
festival of the time. They hosted such musical greats as Bob Dylan,
Miles Davis, John Coltrane, Billie Holiday, Led Zeppelin, Muddy Waters, and many
others. A great 1960's poster!
