A first edition of Fleming's Thunderball.

Bound in cloth with gilt lettering and unclipped dustwrapper.

A good clean copy.

Thunderball is the ninth novel by Ian Fleming based on the fictional British Secret Service agent Commander James Bond.

The novel was first published on March 27, 1961, and is technically the first novelisation of a James Bond screenplay, though when written and published, the eponymous film had yet to be produced. It subsequently was serialised as a daily newspaper comic strip in 1961. It features the first appearance of the crime syndicate SPECTRE and introduces SPECTRE's leader Ernst Stavro Blofeld, although Bond does not meet him.

CONDITION

The binding is tight and firm. There is slight wear to the extremities, including slight bumping to the top and tail of the spine. The dustwrapper has several very small closed tears, a couple of small chips and a couple of small stains to the reverse. Internally the pages are clean and bright. Overall the condition is near fine with very good indeed dustwrapper.
