I inherited a collection and have some special covers and duplicates to pass on to the collection of another. This is a FLUEGEL multi-color Cachet cover for the US postal issue honoring the U50th Anniversary of the Workers Compensation Law of Wisconsin...a huge step for worker's rights in the United States. Postmarked September 4, 1961 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. In very good condition and clean - the top crease has a little normal paper aging -- minor. Back flap is open/unattached and not addressed.
The image shown is the actual item -- I do not use any stock photographs or scans.
I COMBINE POSTAGE CHARGES FOR MULTIPLE ITEMS PURCHASED TO SAVE YOU MONEY.
FLUEGEL multi-colored CACHETS are very collectible and all FDC collections should have several. Fluegel went out of production in the 1960's after many decades of producing highly colored and designed cachet artwork for various First Day Stamp Issues Covers. In later years, Paul Hubartt became the main artist of the line until its discontinuation.Hubartt designed a huge number of covers in the 1950-1960's. Hubartt studied art at the University of Kansas and after several other artistic endeavors came to share his talent with the growing stamp and First Day Cover world. These Fluegal/Hubartt covers were prepared by a Craftint Multi-color process, which is now extinct. Different issues received differing amounts of production, and a few Fluegel covers already demand prices of several hundred dollars each, depending on rarity. (As sometimes can be seen on ebay.)
Postage and Handling is 1.00 for mailing within the United States and related territories, and $1.35 for Canada. Multiple purchases within seven days will be automatically combined into a single $1.00 charge -- if combined into one payment/shipment. In addition, if buying several different items over more than seven days, additional flexibility for combining purchases can be accommodated -- just wait to pay when done. To ship internationally other than Canada, there are additional costs depending on location and expense and these will need to be calculated depending on location and the method of shipment you wish to use. These costs average $1.65, but has never exceeded $2.00 for a group of FDCs. Again, combined postage for international is done for multiple purchases.
I mail immediately upon receipt of checks -- NO HOLD -- I have never had a bad check from a fellow ebayer. Personal check, paypal or money order are all good, but need to be in US currency. If you wish to insure the shipment in the US, there is an additional cost of $1.65. Without insurance, buyer assumes risk of delivery. However, all packages are sent from the desk of a major US Postal station (handed directly to a desk agent) to lessen risk of shipment. Also, I greatly appreciate all payments be completed on paypal or sent via personal check or money order within seven days of final winning purchase. (The exception is if you are waiting and bidding on other items, we will wait until you are done.) Thank you for your consideration.
I am a collector for fun, and enjoy selling my extras and this huge collection I inherited. In that spirit, if you are not happy/satisfied then I am not happy/satisfied -- we will work something out. Every great FDC deserves a caring home.
Thanks!
If you wish to save on combined postage with other possible items on which you are bidding, or have already won, please just let me know. Paypal, check, or money order are all acceptable, but must be in US funds. Unless we are waiting for possible combination of purchases, I greatly appreciate all payments be completed or sent within seven days of winning purchase. Thank you in advance for your consideration. If you have any questions or special requests, please ask.
