This model is OUT OF PRODUCTION

Back in the late 50's and early 60's, VW showed us that ugly and small with under-powered engines could be fun and economical.  It's Micro-Bus was square and had more windows than an office building yet it held 9 people and their things.  It was slow as a turtle, but steady as one as well.  It was roomy and inexpensive!

The Franklin Mint's die cast model of the 1962 VW Microbus is as different as the Micro-Bus was.  It is actually a perfect rendition of this now 60's icon.  It has the double-opening passenger side doors and the rear hatches.  It has a cloth opening roof, just like the real bus.  Small details abound, such as the guardrail around the carpeted cargo area, the tiny air-cooled engine, sliding front door windows, and a middle passenger seat that tilts forward.

This car is in MINT CONDITION and probably was never displayed.  It comes with the Hang Tag and is packed in the Styrofoam Liner and Outer Box.  Paperwork includes the Certificate of Authenticity, Schematic and Care & Use Instructions.  Don't miss this terrific car.  You won't be disappointed.
