1964/66 LIONEL PRESIDENTIAL SET IN SET BOX #12780 MIB. This is a rare opportunity to find one of these. I am sorry for all the photos, but they will be helpful. The trains came out of a collection and the larger box had two additional cars a remote switch some catologs and the set box with 4 cars, 2 engines, 1 remote switch with a note saying " unrun" set. This listing is for a vintage Lionel Presidential set that comes in its original set box (marked on side 12780). THIS SET HAS NEVER BEEN RUN ONLY EVIDENCE IS A TEST RUN ON ENGINE ALONE. This Six-Unit Diesel Passenger set came with 2382 P/T A-A, 2523, 2522, 2523, 2521. This set includes 2 brown "Mead Corp" boxed Santa Fe engines marked on one end tab 2383 T and on box side 2383 12 (written in Diesel Trailer "A" letter T Santa Fe); the other box is marked on end tab 2383 P and on box side 2383-11 (written in Power Unit Diesel with letter P Santa Fe). The Santa Fe engine is red and silver with Santa Fe "warbonnet" scheme with yellow accents, with roof top louvered vents, 2 horns on roof, GM logo and Built By Lionel on side with number 2383 on front. Also included is box with picture window, end tab reads: 2523, silver car with gold accents, silhouette windows, black lettering: PULLMAN PRESIDENT GARFIELD. Next is box with illustrated side (no window) marked on end tab: No. 2522 Vista Dome Car, silver car with gold accents, dome roof, silhouette windows, black lettering: VISTA DOME PRESIDENT HARRISON. Next is another box with illustrated side (no window) marked on end tab: No. 2523 Pullman Car (small tear on one end tab), silver car with gold accents, silhouette windows, black lettering: PULLMAN PRESIDENT GARFIELD. Next is another box with illustrated side (no window), marked on end tab: No. 2521 Observation Car, silver car with gold accents, silhouette windows, black lettering: OBSERVATION CAR PRESIDENT MCKINLEY. IN ADDITION THIS PARTICULAR SET WAS FOUND WITH AND INCLUDES: Two (2) boxes with window marked on end tab 2523, silver car, gold accents, silhouette windows, PULLMAN PRESIDENT GARFIELD. (One box is missing an end tab and the other box has a tear in one end tab).(center track wheel shows that these two had seen some track test wear, the main wheels show none.) ALSO INCLUDES Two (2) boxes marked on end tabs: UCS "O" Gauge Remote control Track Set. NO track. There are also 3 booklets included: One Lionel 1963 Accessory Catalog (Trains, Motor Racing); One Lionel 1961 Train Lines (Lionel--Porter Science Lines); and One small Lionel catalog (missing covers).
