THE RAREST PROOF ISSUE IN THE KENNEDY SERIES IN ULTRA! 1 of only 12 graded, 10 higher in ULTRA by NGC! The first proof Kennedy to be released by the mint, of the approximately 4 million 1964 proof Kennedy halves struck, it is estimated only about 100,000 were of the Accented Hair variety. The general quality of these coins was extremely low – of much lower quality than the subsequent “Normal Variety”. Most Accented Hair Kennedy halves are severely hairlined. Many have serious milk-spotting. Few were struck with exceptional cameo contrast, and snow-white ULTRA/DCAM coins have always been extremely rare. The fabulous specimen being offered is a stunning black and white cameo, with a flawless Proof 68+ snow-white ULTRA obverse, and Proof 67 snow-white ULTRA reverse!
