1964 COLORADO Official State Highway Road Map Aspen
Handsome fold-out highway map of Colorado, printed more than 43 years ago.
This map opens to a very generous 34" x 22" and has great detail on old road alignments. It was published by the Colorado Department of Highways, Denver, in 1964.
Named places on the map include Boulder, Pueblo, Cripple Creek, Colorado Springs, La Junta, Cortez, Alamosa, Grand Junction, Walsenburg, Greeley, Fort Collins, Breckenridge, Broadmoor, Estes Park, Durango, Gunnison, Sterling, Paonia, and many more.
The front cover photograph depicts a view of Maroon Lake and the Maroon Bells, near Aspen.
These early "officials" are hard to find, and this one is in very good condition, bright and clean, with no rips or tears. There is a State of Colorado Travel Postcard lightly stapled to the front cover, not visible in the scan above.
