"1964" Silver Peace Dollar Cut Coin Sterling Money Clip
"About 40 years ago, after many years as a mint employee, my grand dad left his job at a mint in Denver in 1967 with some special coin gifts from the director and other employees. His estate journal and papers said he received several special coins, including a coin he had worked on in total secrecy in 1964, and early 1965, in the 'trolley building' across from the main mint ... just kidding."
No Peace dollar was minted for circulation in 1964! But take a look at the photos; who would know? This cut coin money clip creation pictured sure is convincing, isn’t it? It should; it is a coin! In fact, it's made from two Peace dollars.
One of a kind Money Clip Creation!
This cut coin pictured is an authentic and genuine U.S. Peace dollar and came from general circulation. This cut coin is a one-of-a-kind combination of more than one real U.S. Peace Dollar. The craftsman skillfully combined an actual numeral “9” from one Peace Dollar by inverting, and attaching it to the space in the date creating this super artwork piece. Perfectly aligned. Entirely convincing to the naked eye. It has all the characteristics of a circulated dollar. Of course it's a 1964, isn't it? (click a photo to see a close up). You are receiving the coin pictured in a sterling silver money clip.
NOT a reproduction!
NOT a replica!
NOT cast!
Hand made from a real Peace Dollar!
See the super-size photos here. A real .900 fine silver dollar cut coin with all the hand craftsmanship of a master artist. See almost every detail and letter cut in and around. The coin has been hand cut with a tiny jeweler’s saw with a study hand by a patient artist.
Can you imagine the conversation piece, laughs, and ahs, as you show your new money clip off around at all the coin shows or your best customers, stating how you can’t believe someone would foolishly “cut up” such an unknown rarity -- a coin no one thought existed. Even under close eyeglass inspection, it will fool almost everyone because it’s all real. Just keep a straight face and enjoy fun you'll have!
How about a gift to an avid, or serious, coin collector or dealer. Can you imagine seeing his or her face as he or she looks up the date and mintage (or knows already) of the coin and finds out this is the only one. A super special (and fun gift).
Coin is mounted in a sterling spring-back money clip, and with continued use, the patina of the .925 metal will blend very nice with the .900 fine coin and bring you years of use. Item will ship in a gift box if you wish.
