Here's a Classic from 1964!!

Up for auction and offered up for your immense delight with No Reserve, is one ALL ORIGINAL Vintage 1964 Ludwig 5" X 14"  KEYSTONE Badge Supraphonic WITH the Factory COB Chrome Over Brass Hoops! Check out the pictures! 

The serial # is an auspicious 97979 which gives this drum a born date in 1964...or possibly early '65. The year everything changed for Ludwig-compliments of Ringo.

Here are the Lovely specs:

ALL ORIGINAL Vintage Ludwig 1964 5" X 14" Keystone Badge Supraphonic, Pimped OUT with the Original COB Hoops--which make this Ludwig sound KILLER! P-83 throwoff is supersmooth and works perfectly, white Baseball Bat Muffler works beautifully. 10 Classic Imperial Lugs. You know the rest. Classic Vintage Ludwig!! There is some pitting/scratches on the shell, par for the course on a 44 year old Supraphonic. Certainly nothing that remotely affects the tone. 

AND this one sounds FANTASTIC! Definitely one of the good ones!

If you'd like to know how this Ludwig Supraphonic sounds, just visit the Rock 'N' Roll Hall of Fame. 

This snare should be in every drummers' arsenal. And no one was ever kicked out of the studio for showing up with a Ludwig Supraphonic. It's been recorded so much that it floats around in our subconscious.
