Up for sale we have a vintage 1965 Gibson LG-0 acoustic guitar in nice shape. There are some nicks and scratches here and there, what you would expect on a 44 year old guitar that has been played. It is all mahogany, small body, ladder braced top, 14-1/4" lower bout, 3-1/2"
to 4-3/8" body depth, 1-9/16" nut width, ~24-3/4" scale, screwed-on
tortoise plastic pickguard, tortoise plastic-bound top, 14 fret
mahogany neck, 20 fret rosewood fingerboard with pearloid dot inlays,
3-on-a-plate open-gear tuners with chrome buttons,
adjustable saddle reverse belly bridge... it has normal finish checking and a
few dings, but nothing too bad. I don't know if the case is original, but I do know that the stain on the inside of the lid is not that noticeable in person - the flash did that. I'm selling off my collection, and though I don't want to see this one go (1965 was a special year) I have to cut it loose. My loss is your gain.
The LG-0 was introduced late 1958, and was a very popular guitar amongst students - it was an overall great sounding guitar and out performed most guitars in its price range. The tone is full for a smaller acoustic, it is easy to play and sounds great, with a bit of a Robert Johnson vibe.
