Here's a GREAT SOUNDING RARE ALL ORIGINAL Vintage Ludwig from March of 1967!

Up for auction and offered up for your immense pleasure with No Reserve, is this Hard to Find Vintage Ludwig 3.5" X 13" KEYSTONE BADGE Supraphonic PICCOLO Snare Drum that has the ORIGINAL Ludwig Snare Wires on it and is in FANTASTIC Condition!! Check out the pictures! Pretty DAMN Clean for a 41 year old Supraphonic. As you can see there is virtually NO pitting on this Snare-a few pinpoint spots but that's all.

And one of the reasons this drum is sooooooo CLEAN is because it has been stored in this lovely Vintage Hard Case for the last several decades. I am including this case in the auction--it seems to have been custom made for this Ludwig. The drum fits perfectly inside!! 

The serial # is 560796 and this drum is stamped on the inside in the famous Ludwig black ink "MAR 15 1967."

 I believe that this Ludwig was simply called "The Ludwig Piccolo" in the catalogue. I refer to it as Supraphonic Piccolo because it's the same shell as a Supra but in the smaller 3.5" X 13" Size.

All Original Hard to Find 1967 Vintage LUDWIG KEYSTONE BADGE 3.5" X 13" PICCOLO Snare, 6 Famous Ludwig DOWNBEAT Style Horizontal Lugs, Original Ludwig Throwoff is supersmooth and works perfectly (I believe it's called the P-79 or something like that.) ORIGINAL Ludwig factory Snare Wires are perfect---that's pretty damn hard to find righ there. Top and Bottom Heads are Clean. You know the rest...Classic Vintage Ludwig!! A few surface scratches on the shell. Hardly any pitting. Great shape for being 41 years old.

And I am happy to report that like its older brother, this 13" Supraphonic Piccolo sounds UNBELIEVABLY GOOD!!

If you don't grab this one, check one out somewhere! They are really, really great sounding drums. FAT. With a terrific attack...and they STILL have all that Vintage Supraphonic vibe...but in a 3.5" X 13"!! Fantastic under the mic too!!
