WITH MUCH APPRECIATION TO ALL OUR CUSTOMERS
:  If you have a question on orders received, please contact us.  We take Customer Service seriously, and want you to be satisfied.   When leaving Feedback, please consider the following:  eBay's policy on the 5-star rating system is anything less than a 5  reduces our standing with eBay and ultimately can affect our selling abilities.   SO please give us 5 stars in each category through the feedback system, and we will be able to effectively continue
to fulfill your passion for rare and collectible music!  We have served thousands of satisfied customers  - far more than our feedback records indicate - and our aim is to continue to do so.

We have a VPI machine and thoroughly clean all records.   Each order is carefully packaged by removing the LP from the jacket to avoid seam splits, use of  2/3 ml plastic cover sleeves over each LP and jacket, cardboard pad inserts, and placed in sturdy record mailers.

We mail all paid orders out once a week on Fridays/Saturdays.  Please keep in mind our listings are time consuming in detail and we are often traveling to find these gems, which at times delays the delivery schedule to Monday.   We strive to keep our shipping and handling costs as close to actual charges as reasonable.  We ALWAYS process and ship every paid order.  Please be aware we have no control over parcels once they are mailed from our local Post Office.

TO OUR REPEAT CUSTOMERS:  We are happy to hold orders to save on shipping.  Please pay your current invoice within five days of auctions ending and, if you request, we will hold your order and reflect a shipping discount for each additional order shipped together in the same parcel.

As always, thank you for your support!

Collectible 1969 BIZZARE RECORDS FIRST PRESSING with CAPTAIN BEEFHEART !

                    FRANK  ZAPPA

                        HOT RATS

\                                                                 USA - (aqua) BIZARRE RECORDS  -  RS 6356

Original 1969 first pressing vinyl in thick gatefold cover with the original Zappa inner sleeve and on the original aqua Bizarre label....a strong showcase for Zappa and guitar work and a tight unified band getting it on

Standing in the middle of his avant-garde Mother of Invention work, Hot Rats was a shock, if nothing else, for his fans. These long focused pieces took cues from free jazz players such as Coltrane and Ayler. Zappa built this LP around his rock-based sound and incorporated a free improv environment that was very different from the San Francisco "jam" bands of the time. Essentially he brought the dirt and aggression of rock into the complex improvised composition style of jazz, giving his own vision of fusion. Hauling in Mothers Of Invention multi-instrumentalist Ian Underwood, Jean-Luc Ponty on violin, Shuggy Otis on bass, Zappa also relied upon long time friend and co-conspirator Captain Beefheart to supply the vocals on "Willie the Pimp."

"Willie The Pimp" destroys any idea of light pop ideology, ripping open with a dirty riff from the violin, followed by Frank Zappa hammering along with a wall of grunge and distorted guitar before Captain Beefheart launches into his freaked-out vocals. What is the infamy of this track? Captain Beefheart's white-Howlin' Wolf spewing Lawrence Ferlingetti poetry for one. But the clincher is Zappa's guitar solo, which takes up the majority of the 9-minute track. For the first time ever on any Zappa/MOI record, he lets go and jams out a truly massive solo. Though this record has its share of straight out rock solos, a complex foundation underlies each track in which Zappa, for the first time, displays more of his strong guitar work, than his vocals. Zappa's fans tend to be quite musically articulate and have come to understand his idiosyncrasies, in 1969 Hot Rats was one of the first of it's kind, delivering a shock to Mothers Of Invention/Zappa fans....
