1970-71 Fender Jazz Bass with Case and Fretless Neck

We received a whole bunch of helpful emails from people about this bass. We really didn't know the first thing about Fender dating, and all we had to go by was the number stamped on the neck. After contacting a Fender employee, and emailing pictures, it looks like the neck and body are 1970-71ish. The rosewood fretboard and inlays were found on earlier Jazz basses, but the decal seems to be from '70-ish.

It's still being looked into - but none of that matters as the neck plate isn't with the body and neck, so any real positive on the year is not going to happen.

So, here we have our revised ad - and our apologies for any confussion!

1970-71 Jazz Bass. Refinished. Original body, original neck with Schaller hardware, Bartolini active pickups, strap locks. There is a battery route under the pickguard for the active pickups.

Comes with original neck in very good condition, as well as Chandler fretless neck in like-new condition. Fretless neck is attached at this time.

Hard case included.
