Detailed Description
Here we have a Solid Sterling Silver Pilot Custom.
The Custom line was released in the mid 1960's and is
still part of Pilot's line today. The line is named
"Custom" because it includes a wide array
of nib choices and anyone should be able to find a nib
that feels like a Custom fit. This Pen has Pilot's C
type nib. A nice big inlaid point that is hard to ignore.
This pen line is most famous for it's special editions.
The famous Buddhist Scriptures pens were based on this
pen.

In the crown of the cap is Pilot's
"Pen is Mightier than the Sword" logo.
To me the logo looks more like a compas dial. Quite
a few customers were confused by this logo and it
was quickly dropped. |

The nib is a sweet Fine,
and when a Japanese pen says that it is a fine,
you can expect a real razor point. These Pilot's,
however, have a sensational smooth flow and a wonderful
iridium tip, so even though the pen is a fine point,
it doesn't feel like one. |
 |
| The nib is a 18K Rhodium Fine point. Rhodium is a precious metal in the Platinum family. It is often called white gold. This nib is very smoothly ground |
|
 |
and is a real pleasure to write with.
