Card quality comments – Examine the photo carefully before bidding.   The card in the scan is the one being offered.   I never alter the scan.   If I think it is misleading I will comment about it.

My own non-expert comment:    A bow in the card causes the scan to look a bit blurry.   In person, it is clean and bright.

For grading, I noted a crease beginning in the middle of the bottom and wondering to the right.   I do not see it on the scan.   In person, even with my notes, I could just barely see it when I tilted the card to just the right angle.

My goal is to offer ungraded cards presentable for illustrating baseball history.   They are cards I would not be hesitant to give to a friend in a gift set.   They may have minor problems common to ungraded cards, such as some darkness from handling and modest wear.   When these problems are serious enough to distract from the card’s visual impact, I comment and reduce the opening bid explicitly.   In many other cases, I reduce opening bids based on sales resistance because it is possible that bidders have opinions that differ from mine.
