This is a mint condition 1972 Martin-Vega VIP Tenor Banjo. It features all-maple and rosewood construction as well as the Vega Tubaphone tone ring. Completely reconditioned in 2008 by Renee Karnes, the banjo is all original except for a top tension tailpiece added by the owner and some jewelled engraving on the tension hoop and armrest - customized for the owner. The instrument comes with a custom soft-shell gig bag (High Quality - $180 New) and all bracket wrenches and hardware. Adjustable neck tension rod, nickle-silver plating and geared tuners all in excellent working condition. Few finish blemishes- none noticeable. Fantastic Tenor Banjo tone and projection thanks to Renee Karnes setup!

This is an excellent instrument for the journeyman player or professional. this was one of my father's instruments which he played regularly and kept in top playing condition.  Martin SN-712
