HELLO AND THANKS FOR VIEWING THIS AUCTION! Today, we have for your consideration with NO RESERVE, this 1973 ~The Neptune Factor~ 11 x 14 color lobby card set of 8, starring Ernest Borgnine, Ben Gazzara, Yvette Mimieux, Walter Pidgeon. Numbered 1-8, lobby set number 73/107.
PLOT SUMMARY:
Aboard the R/V Triton, the Project Neptune team is doing oceanographic research. Director Andrews is trying to keep the research going in spite of opposition from Foundation Head Sheppard. Below on the ocean floor, in the Sealab, the team led by Hamilton is about to return to the surface when the Sealab is ripped loose from it's moorings and sent careening into a trench. Trapped too deep for divers, the only chance is rescue by a new US Navy mini-sub, piloted by the arrogant Cdr Blake USN. Blake, Chief Diver MacKay, Diver Cousins & Dr. Jansen (Hamilton's fiance) dive in the mini sub to attempt the rescue of the trapped Hamilton & crew. Written by Robb Mavins {rmavins@mb.sympatico.ca}
CONDITION OF EACH CARD:
1. Really poor condition (the worst of the lot), tack holes, very prominent creases, missing lower left corner, tape, tear on the upper right corner, tape residue on the back.
2. Excellent condition, minor stains, creases, dinged corners.
3. Beautiful artwork, creased upper right corner, other minor creases, dinged corners, minor tape residue on back.
4. Great artwork, tack holes, prominent diagonal crease on the upper left corner, tape on the upper right corner, indentations, creased lower left corner, minor stains, tape residue on the back.
5. Sensational artwork, minor wear, dinged corners, one of the best in the lot.
6. Tack holes, prominent diagonal crease on the left side, missing the lower left corner, vertical crease on the upper right side with a upper right corner piece of tape.
7. Excellent condition, dinged corners, the best condition card in the lot.
8. Creased lower left corner, minor wear/indentations, slightly fudged corners.
