This U.S. Mint PROOF U.S. "silver" dollar is a CLAD proof dollar has been specially struck by the U.S. Mint with polished dies to give the surface a "mirrored" finish.  It is only sold in collectors' sets. This one was made by the San Francisco Mint. The mirrored surface may be difficult to see in the photo, but the background (flat surface) around the bust of President Eisenhower is like a polished mirror. This coin has never been touched by human hands -- your hands will be the first.

 

This gorgeous coin is mounted in a non-tarnishing, springback style, money clip like that pictured. The clip holds just a few, or several, bills by using a spring plate inside the unique frame.
