You are bidding on an extremly lightly formerly enjoyed, 1978 Dunhill smooth straight grain "DR" (Dead Root) series finish large straight classic bulldog shaped pipe, that is stamped as an "H" grade.  This gorgeous looking pipe is a consummate classic Dunhill, in one of their most desirable shapes, with a strong straight grain pattern.

The "DR" "H" grade sits at the apex of the Dunhill pipe line. THIS PIPE IS THE ABSOLUTE TOP OF THE DUNHILL LINE! These rare, special, and ultra expensive pipes are highly coveted by serious pipe collectors around the world. There are but a handful (at most!) crafted every year - for the entire planet! The briar just does not yield perfection that often.

The bowl of this pipe displays a spectacular straight grain. The overall balance feels very nice as does the hand feel. The draft is easy and a pipe cleaner will pass to the bottom of the bowl.

Here are the dimensions: The overall length is about 5.0". The bowl height is 1.70". The tobacco chamber is about 0.73" in diameter, and gradually tapers down the bowl's 1.375" inner depth.  Capacity is the same as a Group 3 to 4 size Dunhill pipe. This beautifully classic ultra high grade Dunhill pipe weighs just 33 grams. The black leather Dunhill pipe bag that is pictured below is included.

This pipe needed only  light cleaning, rejuvenation, and sanitization. It is in a pristine and issue free condition that is ready to deliver immediate enjoyment right out of the box.

I am running this as a “Private Auction” so that you can bid on this amazing pipe without worrying about stepping over your fellow pipe collector friends' bids, as well as keeping the winning bidder’s name private. This special Dunhill DR H straight grain bulldog shaped pipe (a near impossible to find shape in this grade!) deserves discretion. I use only the best of packaging materials. The pipes that I ship have too much time and labor lavished on their restoration and presentations as well as the many of these pipes are irreplaceable works of art. I am not going to risk damage by using lesser packing. (In my nine years of selling pipes on eBay and shipping thousands of pipes around the world, not a single pipe has been damaged!) I also try my utmost to ship your pipe the same day that I receive your payment, even if this means making a special trip to the Post Office just for you alone. The Registered parcels that ship overseas take extensive time with both the packaging and four forms of documentation that must be filled out. Unfortunately, this all has to be reflected in my shipping costs, so please bid accordingly.
