1978 LES PAUL GIBSON ARTISON ELECTRIC GUITAR & CASE EXC















This 1978 Gibson Les Paul Artisan electric guitar features; gold hardware, including a gold jack plate, Schaller-style "Gibson" tuners, multi-ply binding on front and back, multi-ply pick guard, mahogany body with three piece carved maple top, laminated maple three piece neck, trademark
hearts and flowers mother of pearl inlays in the ebony fingerboard and headstock, bound peg head and fingerboard, and engraved "Artisan" truss rod cover.

 The Artisan is very similar to the Les Paul Custom but with a sleeker look .

Purchased in 1980 as new. The serial number 71308041 indicates that this was made May 10, 1978 and was the 41st instrument stamped that day. Most, if not all Artisan models were made in the Kalamazoo factory, even until the model was discontinued in 1982.  This guitar was made in Kalamazoo too.

 Included is a copy of the original receipt a pitch pipe and the original black hard case with plush red interior and storage compartment.
 This guitar and the case have been very well kept and is in what I would consider in excellent condition.
