1978 O'Day 32 Center Cockpit Sailboat

The 1978 O’Day 32 offers three cabins, sleeping 6. The roominess is easily equivalent to many conventional 40' offerings with a minimum of 6'1" headroom throughout (6'5" in the main salon). The master cabin is aft with sink and a large hanging locker. The main cabin is a spacious dining area and also serves as a night time cabin for guests. Forward is an enclosed V'berth with hanging closet and ample storage. The galley is designed with spacious counter, an alcohol stove and oven, sink, refrigerator and freezer. The head is tucked away to port with vanity, sink, and hot and cold water shower.

25 hp Westerbeke Diesel, Mainsail with 2 sets of reef points, working jib, 3 burner alcohol stove and oven, wheel steering, bilge pump-hand, shore power with electrical outlets throughout boat, cold/hot water pressure system with shower (40 gallon capacity), shallow draft with keel centerboard (3'4" CB up/ 7'1" CB down); inboard rudder behind skeg.

This is a perfect Chesapeake Bay boat with a shallow draft, custom cockpit draft dodger to keep cool during the hot summer days, large top loading cooler to keep drinks and food cold, and large aft cabin for comfortable nights. The boat is a freshwater boat (Michigan) with one summer of use on the Chesapeake. The 25 hp Westerbeke with 27 gallon tank capacity will run for days on one tankful for inexpensive bay cruising.

A complete marine survey was completed in 2003 and is available on request. The hull is blister free and the Westerbeke has low hours.
