Lemon Grove manufactured vintage Taylor 815 ...serial number 945.. rosewood back has beautiful light grain with depth ... rosewood sides ... spruce top ... mustache bridge. all original ...in remarkable shape except for the 4 inch crack near the endpin. It could just be a finish crack ...there is no play in the wood on either side of the crack and I can find no evidence of a crack on the inside with an inspection mirror. the back is remarkably clear of finish scratches and rash for any guitar much less one of this age... missing endpin..hasn't been bored out for pickup. grain in the top is very tight and very straight. pickguard is lifting a little... bridge is not lifting and I can see know evidence of it ever having been removed ... neck is very straight and typical taylor low profile. action is high but the saddle is unbelievably high ..original hardshell case in pretty good shape...overall a few bruises but it is one of the first thousand taylors ever made and will appreciate. so it can definitely be lowered. some fretwear but no bad. I bought as an investment to keep for 30 years and make a fortune on it... need to let it go unfortunately...Item is for sale locally so auction may end at anytime.....Sorry ..... Paypal only (unless permission granted. Immediate payment required. US 48 only. shipping $40 east of mississippi $60 west |
