Thomas S. Dickey (c. 1910-1984), Georgia author, historian, wrote Field and Heavy Artillery Projectiles of the Civil War, War Under the Pine Straw, and various collected papers from 1967 to 1984.

Peter C. George collaborated with Thomas S. Dickey on several Civil War era books.
