1980 Holmes vs. Muhammad Ali Autograph Ticket Stub

At the age of 38 and attempting to win his fourth heavyweight boxing title, the great Muhammad Ali failed to answer the bell for the 11th round against Larry Holmes on October 2, 1980.  After 10 rounds of taking punishment, Ali was only able to land 10 punches on the younger, more powerful Holmes.  The fight was held at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas and this is an original ticket stub to that fight ($300 seat in 1980!).  It was personally signed by Ali in silver marker several years later during a personal appearance.  The stub itself is excellent with some light handling wear and one slightly bumped corner (lower left).  The signature displays excellent contrast and is guaranteed authentic for the life of the item.
