The scanned images depict this coin fairly well, but can't due justice to the overall appearance of this ONE THOUSAND DINARA coin from YUGOSLAVIA issued in 1980 and Commemorating the Death of Josip Broz Tito.  Unique SILVER coin with lovely full bright proof luster, which means highly reflective DEEP MIRRORED fields and FROSTED CAMEOS which makes the coin appear dark in the images...it is NOT but bright and lustrous. The coin enjoys a wonderful hint of attractive gold at very rim edge that highlights nicely. Sharply struck coin has solid detail, but does sport average light marks in the mirrored fields which subdues their luster a bit and keeps the coin from being gem. Nevertheless, this large 39mm SILVER coin can be a will be a centerpiece addition to any European collection.  Obverse depicts frosted cameo portrait of Josip Broz Tito and dates shown as 1892-1980. Reverse depicts World globe, coat of arms center, value, date and inscription. A hard to find example this coin contains 26.0000 g., .925 SILVER, .7733 oz. ASW - OVER 3/4 OUNCE OF SILVER! Terrific bit of history from Yugoslavia in SILVER for any collection. This item was part of my husband's collection. He is terminally ill with cancer and wants me to sell all of his private collection, coins and currency. I have three minor children to raise and so I comply.
