About the Item

Up for auction is a vintage Jack McConnell hat.  I believe the hat was designed during the 1980s. This stunning black hat comes with Jack McConnell's signature "red feather," marking this hat as an original Jack McConnell design.  I purchased this hat at an estate sale, therefore I do not know its full history.  The hat was stored in a hat box that bears the Jack McConnell logo, which is included with its purchase.  I believe this is the original box for this hat.  The box has some wear on the edges and a few scratches on the top. There appears to be a little wear on the inner band and slight discoloration to the lace of the band.  I think the discoloration is most likely due to natural aging of the fibers.  The feathers and leaves on this hat seem to be in excellent condition.  If you look at the close-up photo, you can see there are little rhinestone crystals that embellish the feathers.  It is quite a stunning piece of millinery work and a very rare find.  Please see the photos below for a closer look at this beautiful hat.
