About the Item

Up for auction is a vintage Jack McConnell hat.  I believe the hat was designed during the 1980s. I purchased this hat at an estate sale, therefore I do not know its full history.  The hat was stored in a hat box that bears the Gayfers Department Store logo. The box is included with the purchase of this hat.  I do not know if this is the original box for this hat, but it appears to be a good fit.  The box has some wear on the edges, but seems sturdy. There appears to be a little wear on the inner band and slight discoloration to the lace of the band.  I think the discoloration is most likely due to natural aging of the fibers.  The flowers are in excellent condition.  If you look at the close-up photo, you can see there are little rhinestone crystals that on some of the flowers.  Overall this hat is in excellent condition. Please see the photos below for a closer look at this beautiful hat. 

While the hat has been in my possession, it has been stored in a smoke free environment in the hat box you see pictured below.  I am NOT a hat collector and I have described this item to the best of my ability.  Please note that the hat stand seen in the photos is not for sale and is pictured for display purposes only.  This item is sold as is with no warranties expressed or implied.  Please e-mail me if you have any questions about the item.  Thank you for viewing my auction and happy bidding!
