You are bidding on a lightly formerly enjoyed 1981 Dunhill "Root Briar" series finish classic "Liverpool" shaped pipe that is stamped as a "61101".  It is a Group 6 in size. (This is a very large pipe, even for a Group 6, as you will read in the dimensions posted below.) The highlight feature of this beautifully grained pipe is the heavy gauge 0.50" long cross hatch designed 18 karat gold Dunhill hallmarked fitment band. This band is fitted into the shank, and not slipped over it for a very elegant and finished appearance. The band is original tot he pipe and is not a repair!

The overall balance feels very nice as does the hand feel. The draft is nice and easy. A pipe cleaner will effortlessly glide to the bottom of the bowl.

This pipe needed only the most superficial cleaning and sanitization. The original hand cut stem is free from any tooth marks, scratches, or oxidation. It is in a fantastic overall condition! (There are a couple of tiny pin point sized "dings" on the front rim of the bowl. No big deal, but I wanted to point that out.) It is truly ready to enjoy right out of the box.

Here are the dimensions: The overall length is about 6.75". The bowl height is 2.0". The tobacco chamber is about 0.875" in diameter, and very gradually tapers down the bowl's 1.75" inner depth. This beautiful pipe weighs 49 grams.

The pipes that I ship have too much time and labor lavished on their restoration and presentations as well as the many of these pipes are irreplaceable works of art. I am not going to risk damage by using lesser packing. (In my nine years of selling pipes on eBay and shipping thousands of pipes around the world, not a single pipe has been damaged!) I also try my utmost to ship your pipe the same day that I receive your payment, even if this means making a special trip to the Post Office just for you alone. The Registered parcels that ship overseas take extensive time with both the packaging and four forms of documentation that must be filled out.
