Released on December 15, 1982, this coin was authorized in support of the 1984 Los Angeles Olympic Games. The design of the coin featured a representation of the Greek Discus Thrower. The coin is inscribed: Liberty, In God We Trust, XXlll Olympiad, Los Angeles, and 1983.

Reverse Description:

The reverse of the coin features a bust of an eagle. The coin is inscribed: United States of America, E Pluribus Unum, and One Dollar.

1984 Olympic Silver $1

Obverse Description:

This coin was authorized in support of the 1984 Los Angeles Olympic Games. The design of the coin featured a design of the sculpture proposed that was to be placed in front of the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum with the Olympic Stadium in the background. The coin is inscribed: Liberty, 1984, and In God We Trust.

Reverse Description:

The reverse of the coin features eagle. The coin is inscribed: United States of America, One Dollar, and E Pluribus Unum.
