From 1955 until 2001, LIBERTY LOBBY was America's foremost "populist" institution.  Through its weekly paper, THE SPOTLIGHT, it promoted a pro-Constitution outlook that opposed the "politically correct" agenda of the "one worlders" and the Israel-first lobby.  At one point during the early 1980s, the paper's circulation reached more than 300,000.

 

Original mintage numbers are unknown, and there were only small quantities initially available.  Apparently, these “240 GRAINS” (ONE-HALF TROY OUNCE) “.999 SILVER” were minted for LIBERTY LOBBY to promote their message and to provide a convenient silver investment for their members in an era before the American Eagle silver dollar coins were introduced.  THIS 1985 LIBERTY LOBBY COIN IS UNCIRCULATED+ (24 YEARS OLD!) and stamped "GUARANTEED" on silver below the 'LL' crest.
