1988 FENDER USA STRAT NECK-CUST ASH BODY-GLD HRD-CASE

This is a very nice USA Fender stratocaster from the late 80's. I bought this from a fellow musician who had it for years. I recently acquired it and took it apart to give it a look. The neck has the correct month day and 1988 stamped on its but end. The body has a month stamp and the letters A.M. after it. In the control cavity is a stamp with the letter M and a bar code under the clearcoat. I believe the pickups are Dimarzio's or Duncans I can't recall which ones he had put in the guitar! The guitar has great action,the frets are clean and the body has no damage to it. The tuners were upgraded to gold grovers,The bridge was replaced with a little heavier duty one in gold. The guitar has a sound that is very close to SRV's sound. I have several strats and this thing has the closest sound like stevie's!!! It must be the maple and ash combination. I'm not a 100 percent sure that this is a fender usa body but it is of the highest quality,nicer than most fender ash bodies.I saw this same guitar in a 1990 musicians friend catalog-very cool guitar!!!!   You won't be dissapointed by this beauty,the thing has mojo!!!!!!!!  The case is in nice shape.
