1988 US Olympic Coins Proof two coin set by the US Mint comes in original burgundy velevet presentation case with original box and slipcover. Certificate of Authenticity included. This historic collectible was designed and created by the US Mint to commemorate America's participation in the 1988 Olympic Games.

This set, minted in 1988, includes:

- $5 US Gold Coin, West Point Mint (.24 troy ounces pure gold)
Obverse: Nike, Goddess of victory, crowned with an olive branch, with the word, "Liberty."

Reverse: A stylized Olympic Flame, below the US Olympic Team logo

- $1 US Silver Dollar Coin, San Francisco Mint (.76 troy ounces fine silver)
Obverse: Liberty's Torch and the Olympic Torch merging in a single flame, with the words, "Olympiad" and "Liberty."
