1990 Pro Set #42 Scott Norwood Set Information Pro Set This set consists of 801 standard-size cards issued in three series. The first series contains 377 cards, the second series 392 and a 32-card Final Update. The set was issued in 14-card packs. The fronts have striking color action photos and team colored borders on the top and bottom edges. They are borderless on the sides. The horizontally oriented backs have stats, highlights and a color photo. Cards 1-29 are special selections from Pro Set commemorating events or leaders from the previous year. The cards in the set are numbered by teams. Pro Set also produced and randomly inserted 10,000 Lombardi Trophy hologram cards. Speculation is that one special Lombardi card was inserted in every tenth case. These attractive cards are hand numbered out of 10,000. Due to a contractual dispute, the Pro Bowl card of Eric Dickerson (No. 338) was withdrawn early creating a short print. Similarly, the set price below does not include any of the tougher variation cards: 1A Barry Sanders, 72A Dexter Manley and 75A Cody Risien. The 1990 Pro Set Final Update series was issued in a special mail-away offer. The series included a special Ronnie Lott Stay in School card and the 1990 Pro Set Rookie of the Year card which introduced the 1991 Pro Set design. Rookie Cards include Fred Barnett, Jeff George, Rodney Hampton, Michael Haynes, Jeff Hostetler, Stan Humphries, Haywood Jeffires, Johnny Johnson, Brent Jones, Cortez Kennedy, Brian Mitchell, Rob Moore, Ken Norton Jr., Junior Seau, Emmitt Smith and Andre Ware.
