Up for Auction 1995 Civil War Battlefield Commemorative, 6 Coin Set. We are original purchaser from U.S. Mint, and have always been stored in the proper environment. Coin set has been stored in a bank safe deposit box since new. These coins are the 1995 6-coin Proof and Uncirculated Commemorative Set. The coins are housed in a beautiful Cherry Wood Box ,all coins are sealed in plastic cases,comes with the certificate of authenticity and outer Box. The Five Dollar Gold Coins; One Proof and One Uncirculated, Both with the "W" for the WEST POINT MINT.
Both obverse show a Civil War Buglar on Horseback. The Reverse side, American Eagle with Banner.
The Two Silver Dollar coins; One Proof with the "S" for the San Francisco Mint, The uncirculated coin has the "P" for the Philadelphia Mint. Both obverse have a soldier giving assistance to a wounded foe, The reverse shows "Little Round top at Gettysburg" with a quote from Joshua Chamberlain.
The two Half Dollars;
Both The Proof and UNC coins have the "S", San Francisco mint Marks.
The obverse shows a "Civil War Drummer", The reverse, Landscape and cannon with inscription "Enriching our future by preserving the past" .
