This is a pair of home baseball pants from the 1998 Pittsburgh Pirates. The name in the waist is Wright, who wore number 7. No one with that name or number appears on the player roster for that season, so we believe these were probably used by a coach. The pants are solid white with no piping or pinstriping.
They are in excellent condition. No holes or repairs.
Zipper fly, with two snaps for closure. Two pockets in the back. There are belt loops, but no belt is included. The elastic is still in the ends of the legs.
Made by Rawlings. Waist tagging says they have a 38-42 inch waist, meaning the waist is size 38, but the rest of the pants are cut as though the waist was a 42 so the wearer has some extra room. They have a 33 inch inseam.
