Merlin - the 1999 Dayton Hudson Santa Bear - with bag and hangtag, missing 8 Ball
This 17" stuffed Merlin Santa Bear doll can tell you some stories about the past while he tries to predict the future! He has been living with my aunt until her recent move to a nursing home. We found him safe in the closet, but he has a little "personality" in terms of use. There is a scratch on his nose which could be fixed with magic marker and the hat came detached from his head in the front, leaving a little tuft of hair where the stitch was. This could also be fixed by the new owner. I have included close-up pictures so you can see how minimal the damage is.
The original Merlin came with a Magic 8 Ball, which I think ended up with a grandchild or great-niece or nephew many years ago! The original hangtag and drawstring bag are included, in great condition.
While he's not perfect, he sure is lovable and will look great with those two small repairs. His original hangtag reads:
"Legend has it, about 1000 years ago in the last millenium, Merlin reigned in King Arthur's Court. He had the power to see into the future because his life began at the end and ended at the beginning. This millenium, Santa Bear can help you see into the future too."
