New-in-the pouch. This is the 4th in a series of hand-painted John Deere Christmas ornaments. All have become highly collectible. Makes a great gift for any John Deere enthusiast.
This is #4 in a Series of John Deere Pewter Ornaments featuring the Model "M" tractor and includes the velvet pouch, also in excellent condition.
The back reads:
"Model M"
"The General-purpose utility model "M" was the first new John Deere tractor manufactured after World War II. Introduced in 1947 and produced until 1952, it featured Touch-O-Matic hydralic control to eliminate the heavy work of attaching and controlling integral equipment."
"No. 4 in a series"
*SPECIAL NOTE: the word "hydralic" is misspelled on this particular ornament which makes it unique to the rest of the collection!
The front of this painted pewter ornament shows a beautiful Christmas scene with the model "M" pushing snow in front of a church. Excellent detail. The ornament measures 2" across and has a silver hanging cord. It would be a rare and fantastic addition to your Christmas ornaments and/or your John Deere collection! These ornaments become harder to find the older they get!
