Place your bids on this 19th century $50 Canal Bank of New Orleans, Louisiana obsolete or broken bank note. It is unissued (no hand-written signatures or date). This is an Extra Fine note with a fancy red back. It was printed by Rawdon,Wright, Hatch & Edson of New Orleans and New York. The obverse is adorned with a central vignette of a female allegorical figure surrounded by barrels, bales, an anchor and sextant with sailing ships in the background. Smaller vignettes show a female allegorical figure seated on a barrel with a sailing vessel and steamship in the background, another female allegorical figure with a sword and scales, and a bird with babies. THIS NOTE HAS NOT BEEN PROFESSIONALLY GRADED. THE ABOVE GRADE IS AN OPINION OF THE SELLER.
